MEET (AND BUY) THE PINFOLK!

For the last few months, I have been alone in my studio, scribbling, playing dress up in front of a broken mirror, and slowly frankesteining together some new tiny friends in hopes that I could have someone other than myself laugh at my tasteless jokes and (great) puns. Almost immediately after injecting my new friends with enamel blood, these enamel pins took on a life of their own and quickly started harassing each other and making up THEIR OWN dumb jokes that I have been documenting in a new comic strip called “THE PINFOLK” (you can read some of the comics here). Well, after observing these unique little weirdos I learned a lot about their personalities, but I also discovered that there’s quite a hefty dose of magic living inside each one of these breathing totems.

Sure, on the surface, throughout their frivolous adventures, you can tell that Paul is extremely timid, gentle and forgiving, and Willie is confident and charismatic, while Randolf is genuinely just a dick. But you see, there’s a reason that these PinFolk’s personalities are so lopsided. Rumor has it that if you WEAR any of the Pinfolk pins, you will inherit a little of that specific Pinfolk’s personality. For example, how often have you subconsciously stopped yourself from telling your co-worker that no one cares about his scalped tickets to Hamilton? Well, pin Randolf to your pocket protector, absorb some of his unbridled ferocity and watch, or rather, hear what comes out of your mouth next time your coworker brags….

Anyway, I am beyond excited to announce that you can finally get your hands on your own enamel PINFOLK in just a few days! On JUNE 5th, at 9PM EST exclusively HERE on ALEXPARDEE.COM, I will be releasing the first edition of SERIES ONE of the Pinfolk, including PAUL, RANDOLF, WILLIE, STEVE and PET CAKE! This is just the beginning.

On June 5th, at 9PM EST all 5 SERIES 1 pins will be available either separately OR in a full set of all 5 for a discount. This is the FIRST EDITION release, with only 200 of each pin available. These pins WILL be available again in the future if they sell out, but all future releases will be marked with a “Second Edition” marking. These are, for what it’s worth, the very first PINFOLK in an ongoing growing universe of new characters.

INTRODUCING...PINPRINTS!

For years I have been producing and selling fine art prints. That was fun!
Last year, however, I started playing around with producing enamel pins. That was fun, too! But then, I had all these art prints that just kinda hung there on the wall lookin’ all lonely, and now I have all these enamel pins that I just throw in a drawer, and the look all lonely, too!

“So….” I said out loud to my dog, Harvey, “What if I played the role of Brundlefly and COMBINED the two with science!?” 

Theoretically, that should be the MOST fun, right?  YEP! I WAS RIGHT! IT WAS! I DID IT! AND IT WAS DOUBLE FUCKING FUN! PLUS, MY PINS AND MY PRINTS ARE FINALLY UNITED AS A BRAND NEW PRODUCT CALLED
“PINPRINTS”: The ONLY fine art prints that you’re encouraged to put holes in! And I am SO excited to finally share these!
 

Each PINPRINT is screenprinted on an 11” x 14” canvas by Bear Designz, and includes a wooden dowel, 2 hand-varnished dowel caps, and a leather string, all pre-assembled by (MY) hand.

PIN-GAME CATCH UP TIME!

After time-traveling into the 24th (and a half) century and getting a hold of a state-of-the-art shrink-ray from my old friend, Marvin the Martian, I have been having a helluva fun time shrinking down my paintings into collectible pins so that you can turn your jacket (or your skin, ya creepo) into a little mini art gallery that can be appreciated by beings of all sizes! Tiny gnats get to gaze upon giant enamel monuments on your chest, while Frankestein-sized humans get to laugh at your minuscule little “baby badges”. Regardless, pins make people smile when they see them. 

Over the past few months, I have released a handful of enamel pins and to my cow-like “udder delight”, they keep selling out! I guess people like stabbing their clothes more than I thought! I think that’s amazing. So, in preparation for some really new exciting pin stuff coming up soon, I wanted to re-print some of my recent pins so that hopefully you can have a chance to scoop up anything that you may have missed recently. 

This coming Monday, Feb 6th, after you are possibly recovered from your 7-layer nachos and also 9-layer nachos and whatever else you absorb on Super Bowl Sunday, I will be re-releasing a bunch of enamel pins, including a brand new one, “GUILTY SMURF” exclusively on alexpardee.com

2016 was rough for some, and even rougher for others, so I wanted to start off 2017 with my (b)right foot forward!
